The Completionist[]
Jirard reviewed the game for the twenty-ninth episode of The Completionist. He views the game as the end of his era as a wrestling fan.
Jirard considers the presentation both the best and worst of the Smackdown games, due to the customization options. As a whole, he finds the Smackdown plots weird, due to the way characters interact in the game compared to real life. He criticizes the small soundtrack that repeats, and the omission of some of his favorite fighters from real life wrestling.
Jirard praises the variety of ways to play the game, and finds the gameplay to be really fun as a whole. Though he finds the career mode to suffer from repetition.
