The Completionist Edit
In the intro, Jirard thanks an early fan of Jirard’s streams, Kegan, who sent him Jet Set Radio when he was a smaller YouTuber.
When describing the game’s plot, Jirard comes to the realization that it’s basically a Japanese version of “The Warriors.”
Jirard finds the graphics and visual style impressive, even on the Dreamcast. He finds the lighting especially impressive. He also compliments the models of the main characters. He’s also a huge fan of the music and voice acting.
The gameplay is unique to Jirard, due to its focus on graffiti and skating. He finds the skate mechanics especially deep. He’s also appreciative of the multiple playable characters.
Completing challenges allows the player to unlock other characters from other gangs, which Jirard appreciates. However, he doesn’t like the lack of a replay button for missions. Other than that, completing achievements gives no benefit.
As a whole, Jirard is somewhat critical of the controls, lack of boost, and wonky camera. Despite these problems, Jirard overall enjoyed his time playing Jet Set Radio.
