The player plays as Jeremy Fitzgerald, as opposed to Mike Schmidt from the first game. It features six brand new enemy characters as well as redesigned versions of the original four enemy characters from the original game. Unlike the first game, there are no doors to close; instead, the player must put on a Freddy Fazbear mask to avoid being killed by most animatronics. A sequel to the game, entitled Five Nights at Freddy's 3, was released on March 2, 2015.
The Completionist Edit
Jirard appreciates the presentation of the sequel, finding it scarier and more polished. In gameplay, Jirard laments the loss of doors from the first game, and feels the Freddy Mask doesn't feel the same. Though he does appreciate that the building can no longer run out of power. As a whole, the game's complexity and increased difficulty makes him feel incredibly anxious. But it also feels fresh and more rewarding to Jirard.
Jirard completed all the pre-set challenges for the seventh night, including the Golden Freddy challenge, which was equivalent to the first game's 20/20/20/20 mode. Jirard doesn't find the dolls worth the trouble to beat this challenge. Like with the first game, Jirard records himself beating Golden Freddy mode live.
