Yoshi's Woolly World, known in Japan as Yoshi Wool World (Japanese: ヨッシーウールワールドHepburn: Yosshī Ūru Wārudo?), is a 2015 side-scrolling platformer video game developed by Good-Feel and published byNintendo for the Wii U. The game is the seventh main entry in the Yoshi series of games, and the first home console title in the series since 1997's Yoshi's Story. The game was released in Europe on June 26, 2015, in Japan on July 16, 2015, and in North America on October 16, 2015.

Jirard reviewed Yoshi's Woolly World for the 146th episode of The Completionist.
Jirard compliments the plot’s simplicity, and the lack of a baby companion like in past Yoshi games. He also heavily praises the game’s aesthetics, especially the authentic yarn feel. He even goes as far as to say it’s one of the best-looking games on the Wii U. Oddly enough, he also praises the game’s box art. The diversity and sheer number of music is also seen positively, especially when they reference other Nintendo franchises. He’s also fond of the game’s difficulty curve.
When talking about gameplay, Jirard notes how the game builds off previous Yoshi titles but adds enough to make the game feel fresh. The various forms Yoshi takes also give the game some welcome variety. He also loves the different costumes Yoshi can have, especially the amiibo costumes. The co-op is also touched upon. He finds it fun, but a bit chaotic. Above all, Jirard compliments the way the yarn allows for intricate and creative level design.
Jirard notes that each stage has a ton of things to collect, making the completionist aspect of the game take some time. He does however praise the way certain things are hidden. He’s also fond of the challenging unlockable levels and expansion of costumes.
As a whole, Jirard finds this to be a wonderful title on the Wii U that he expects will be overlooked by many.
