The Bachelor: The Videogame is a puzzle video game for the Nintendo DS based off the reality TV show "The Bachelor." It was developed by Warner Brothers games and Ludia, and was released in 2010.

The Completionist[]

The Bachelor can be seen as a sequel to the Completionist episode Imagine: Wedding Designer, as it is a DS shovelware game revolved around the theme of love. Jirard and Greg are highly critical of the game. In fact, both dread playing the game at the start of the episode, and Alex has to make them more enthusiastic.

Jirard criticizes the strange gameplay, which is comprised of unrelated minigames based around tracing among other simplistic activities, making the game too easy. He also finds himself unimpressed with the visuals and music of the game. He reserves special criticism for the premise of the show, as he finds something very wrong with competing for the affection of the opposite sex on national TV.

The episode ends with a parody of "We Are The World," with lyrics related to shovelware's negative effect on the gaming industry.

Trivia[]

  • Jirard considers this the worst game he has ever reviewed on the show.
  • Elena Scarlett Murray makes cameos as Jirard's/Greg's date during two of the skits.
