The House of the Dead 2 is a light gun arcade game with a horror theme and the second game in the The House of the Dead series of video games, developed by Sega for video arcades in 1998 and later ported to the Dreamcast andMicrosoft Windows, and also found on theXbox as an unlockable bonus in The House of the Dead III. The game appears in the compilation The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return for Wii. The Dreamcast version became one of the few Sega All Stars titles.

The Completionist[]

Jirard reviewed the game for the twenty-sixth episode of The Completionist. He reviews the Wii version of the game as opposed to the original Dreamcast version.

Jirard compliments the graphics despite their age, saying that they match the gameplay and atmosphere well. However, he bashes the writing and voice acting, though he has a soft spot for it.

Jirard praises the game's motivations to save human characters as opposed to killing them. Though he's not fond of how the bosses repeat, particularly on the Wii. Boss Rush mode also makes completing the game a difficult task for him.

Upon completing the game, he is crestfallen to figure out that the Wii version is glitched and will not give a bonus for completing it.
